Good times are a big part of COAST’s mission. And though our daily doings provide ample smiles and reasons to celebrate, we still feel that the larger community around us should have the chance to join in the fun and check out what we’re up to.
Considering this, on-site events open to “all mellow folk” are becoming a regular occurrence out at the ol’ tin shed, so be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for…
Our monthly concert series, COAST Vibrations, showcases local bands and musicians on our cozy, open-air, covered stage and allows townies and tourists alike the chance to enjoy good tunes in an ‘old Key West’ setting. We are currently planning one concert each month—usually the last Thursday or Friday. A $10 cover charge gives you full access and includes complimentary alcoholic beverages for those 21 and older.
Our Friday Flicks series is in its infancy, but as we grow, we’re planning for this to be a bi-monthly event. We’ll feature relevant—mostly independent—films dealing with coastal topics like surfing, sailing, exploration, and the like. With an outdoor screen and plenty of cozy seating, the Friday Flicks series will transplant you back to the good ol’ days of summertime drive-ins. Friday Flicks are free for all mellow folk!
A big part of the community aspect of COAST is in the sharing of ideas and knowledge and helping others learn and implement new techniques and trades. Our Wednesday Workshops depart from that very philosophy. As we grow, our list if hands-on workshops will evolve, but at the moment, we are offering single color screen-printing and skateboard building workshops on a monthly basis. As we grow, so too will the workshop lineup and frequency, so stay tuned for workshop updates.
